He awakens from this dream unable to remember exactly what it was, or much at all beyond the simple fact that he has dreamed about being a child again. He touches his wife’s smooth back as she sleeps her warm sleep and dreams her own dreams; he think that it is good to be a child, but it is also good to be grownup and able to consider the mystery of childhood…its beliefs and desires. I will write about all of this one day, he thinks, and knows it’s just a dawn thought, an after-dreaming thought. But it’s nice to think so for awhile in the morning’s clean silence, to think that childhood has its own sweet secrets and confirms mortality, and that mortality defines all courage and love. To think that what has looked forward must also looks back, and that each life makes its own imitation of immortality: a wheel.

Para mi, este 2016 lo empece de diez es decir, sin expectativas. Los años anteriores siempre decia "este año va a cambiar todo", pero no hacia nada que conllevara a ese cambio y siempre me decepcionaba. En vez de eso, prefiero dormir, mirar series, leer, reflexionar y dejar de esperar pelotudeces que no van a suceder en mi dia a dia. Supongo que mi primer proposito de este 2016 es dejar de idealizar tanto las cosas, disfrutar mas el presente.

Songwriters are not poets. Or songs are not poems, I should say. In fact, songs are often bad poems. Take the music away and what you’re left with is often an awkward piece of creative writing full of lumpy syllables, cheesy rhymes, exhausted cliches and mixed metaphors. But of all those writing lyrics today, Turner is among the most poetic. His use of internal rhyme exists to be admired and envied. And where some songwriters are never able to get beyond the drama of their own lives and diaries, Turner is more than capable of sidestepping his own experience and producing telling little mini-dramas populated by keenly observed characters.
